
CDASP
The Connecticut Development for After -School Programs (CDASP) provides training to young people through youth at-risk programs.
These programs Include:

1 on 1 Tutoring in Math,
-
Python - Coding,
-
Robotics and
-
Mentoring.
After school programs, scholarship assistance, life choices instruction and apprentice opportunities. CDASP will also distribute food and clothing to some of the families involved in the program. Math and Science are major, emphases of the programming. We also partner with various grassroots organizations, community-minded agencies, corporations, and individuals. Collegiate partnerships have been established throughout Connecticut and in proximity to program locations.
Our Mission
CDASP's mission is to decrease truancy, reduce drop-out rates, raise student's GPA ensure success in core subjects, work primarily with low-income students, provide scholarships to all program participants, promote retention for Connecticut colleges and universities, possible offer certifications and college credits, provide internship and co-op opportunities, teach and build a special curriculum to overcome achievement gap, emphasize math and science and hands-on courses with field research.


Our Goals
CDASP goals include developing a 36-month program of academic support and scholarship assistance in high schools and colleges with participation from towns, businesses, Corporation and individuals. CDASP was established in 2022 to create and implement technology and training for at risk youth. CDASP original program established a youth-at-risk program with Community based churches in Hartford, Connecticut and will expand its After-school program to other numerous towns in
Connecticut.
Summary and our partners
The CDASP programs is a 3-year Pilot Program that prepares failing students for success in education and life. The Project partners include King's Chapel, University of Connecticut, New Opportunities, Inc., and The Antiquity Project which will serve as an instruction site for the students. The partnership grew from the shared vision of providing services that will attack the achievement gap, reduce truancy and drop-out rates, and provide paths to gainful employment or post high school education for low-performing students who are really "on-the-bubble".
